4 Qualification & Experience (A)ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

A person who-:(i) is or has been an officer of the rank of Brigadier or equivalent in the Department of the Judge Advocate General in Army or Navy or Air Force with minimum of twenty years’ of regular service in Group-‘A’; or

(ii) is or has been a member of the State Judicial Service for a period not less than twenty years’ and holding the post of District Judge or an equivalent posts; or
(iii) from amongst Central Government or State Government officers of the Legal Department who.
a)is or has been an Additional Legal Advisor or equivalent in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000/- and Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- in the Pay Band-4 having two years of regular service in the grade with twenty years’ of experience in dealing with legal matters or court cases; or
b) is or has been a Deputy Legal Advisor or equivalent in pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/- and Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- in Pay Band-3 having six years’ of regular service in the grade with twenty years’ in dealing with legal matters and court cases.
(B) PERIOD OF DEPUTATION:
The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or other organization/ department of Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. The maximum age limit for apmintment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty six years for the post of JAG/DIG as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
(C)OTHER CONDITIONS-:
(i) The selected officers will be required to examine cases and put in appearance in High Courts and Subordinate Courts on behalf of the Union of India and ITBPF in the matters relating to the ITBPF Act and Rules framed thereunder, writ petitions and other cases.
Matters pertaining to contracts for sale, lease or land building etc, title to property and various other important cases of Departmental Enquiries etc will also have to be attended to. Keeping in view the various legal problems of FTBPF as mentioned above, it is necessary that the officers to be appointed to these posts should have sufficient broad level legal experience.
(ii) The terms and conditions of the appointment as well as pay of the officers selected for appointment on deputation basis will be regulated in accordance with the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Department of Personnel & Training OM No.6/8/2009/Estt.Pay-II dated 17/06/2010.
