EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up
(a) 450 posts of GD Constables in Armed Battalions,(b) 85 posts of Drivers,(c) 30 posts of Constables (Technical) in Communication Branch in the pay band of Rs. 5200 - 20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules and (d) 7 posts of Followers in the pay band of Rs. 5200 – 20200 plus grade pay of Rs.2200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules in Sikkim Police.
Name of the Posts:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION -:Minimum class X passed from recognized Board for open candidates and class VIII passed from recognized Board for HG candidates who were enrolled before 4.9.2012 and class X who were enrolled after 4.9.2012.
AGE - Not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years as on 1st March, 2014.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (FOR CONSTABLE DRIVERS) : DRIVING LICENSE - Candidates must have an effective TRANSPORT (T) LICENCE. AGE – Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st March, 2014.
SKILL TEST – There will be a skill test on driving of LMV, MV and HV. The Educational Qualification, Physical Requirements and Age Relaxation are the same as required for GD Constable above. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (FOR FOLLOWERS): The vacancies of followers are available in the trade of safaikarmachari, cook and dhobi. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION – Minimum class VI passed.
SKILL TEST - Candidates will be tested for the trade applied for in the skill test.
WRITTEN TEST: Candidates who qualify in the physical measurement and PET shall be called for the written test which will be announced/notified seperately. The detailed syllabus and distribution of marks can be had from the office of the Commandant/3rd IRBn, PHQ, Gangtok and District SsP or can be downloaded from www.sikkimpolice.nic.in.
